MONOBI IS THE RESULT OF A YEAR-LONG SEARCH
A beautiful addition to glasses, designed to bring FREEDOM and match your unique styling.
Searching for appropriate materials for MONOBI’s base design and proportions. Modern production plans were included in the full production cycle, from the production of silver through to the final packaging.
The birth of MONOBI was a process full of challenges and discovery. Yet it also came with a lot of joy, as well as many surprises. I hope that the end result will similarly bring JOY to you! 🙂
WHAT IS MONOBI MADE OF?
The connector is made of a material that is 100% recyclable, without loss, but is also physiologically inert – it does not react with the materials that eyeglass frames are made out of.
It is silicone / TPE, which is the only suitable utility elastomer that doesn’t contain carbon atoms in the polymer chain. The silicone macromolecule is made up of alternately arranged silicon and oxygen atoms, creating an extremely stable structure, analogous to quartz or glass.
Thanks to the silicone used in the production, MONOBI:
- maintains flexibility in the temperature range from -100 to + 350 degrees Celsius
- shows very low deformation after repeated compression and stretching
- it is resistant to heat, weather and UV (you will also wear it on sunglasses)
- does not discolor
- is 100% recycled without loss!
All MONOBI metal parts are mode of 925 Sterling Silver. What’s more, MONOBI’s silver is 100% from Poland – specifically from KGHM Lower Silesian mines.
It has antibacterial properties, so wearing it on your face does not expose your skin to contamination.
Allergic reactions also occur extremely rarely.
Silver is also a precious metal used in intricate jewelry, such as MONOBI.
It also has the highest visible light reflection among metals, which creates a lot of shine!
